Samuel Moves to Turkey
Nigerian international Bright Osayi-Samuel has finalized his transfer from Queens Park Rangers to Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The 24-year-old winger signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Istanbul-based club, ending his five-year spell at QPR.
Osayi-Samuel made 156 appearances for QPR, scoring 23 goals and providing 26 assists. He played a key role in the club's promotion to the Premier League in 2014 and has been a regular starter for QPR in the top flight since then.
Fenerbahce have reportedly paid a transfer fee of around €5 million for Osayi-Samuel. The Turkish club is looking to strengthen their squad as they chase a return to the Champions League. Osayi-Samuel is expected to play a key role for Fenerbahce, where he will feature alongside other Nigerian internationals Semi Ajayi and Henry Onyekuru.
