Scottie Scheffler Arrives at PGA Championship with a Newborn at Home

Scheffler's World No. 1 Ranking Unchanged Despite Paternity Leave

After a three-week break, Scheffler returns to competitive golf with a new addition to his family.

Scottie Scheffler, the current world No. 1 golfer, has arrived at the 2024 PGA Championship with a newborn at home. Scheffler and his wife, Meredith, welcomed their first son, Scheffler, into the world on April 10th. The couple announced the birth of their son on Instagram just days before the major tournament.

Scheffler took a three-week break from professional golf to be with his wife and newborn son. He returned to competition at the RBC Heritage tournament last week, where he finished in a tie for 34th place. Scheffler's world ranking remains unchanged despite his brief hiatus from the game.

Scheffler is one of the favorites to win the PGA Championship this year. He is the reigning Masters champion and has won three PGA Tour events in the past year. Scheffler will tee off in the first round of the PGA Championship on Thursday, May 11th.
