Hydrothermal Explosion Erupts at Yellowstone National Park

Breaking News: Visitors Witness Shocking Blast

Biscuit Basin Area Closed After Tuesday Morning Incident

A hydrothermal explosion in Yellowstone National Park on Tuesday shot a colossal column of boiling water, mud, and rock high into the air. The incident occurred in the Biscuit Basin area, prompting park officials to close the area to visitors.

According to a statement from the National Park Service, the explosion was a "surprise eruption" that released steam, water, and dark-colored rock and dirt into the sky. Video footage posted on social media shows park visitors fleeing from a massive black cloud as the explosion erupted.

Park officials have not reported any injuries from the incident. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
