Early Life and Career

Damir Dzumhur was born on May 20, 1992, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He began playing tennis at the age of seven and quickly rose through the ranks of junior tennis, winning several national and international tournaments.

In 2010, Dzumhur turned professional and began competing on the ITF Futures and Challenger circuits. He won his first ITF Futures title in 2011 and his first Challenger title in 2013.

ATP Tour Success

Dzumhur made his ATP Tour debut in 2014 and quickly established himself as a rising star. He won his first ATP title in 2017 at the St. Petersburg Open, becoming the first Bosnian player to win an ATP title.

Dzumhur has continued to perform well on the ATP Tour, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2018 Australian Open and the fourth round of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships.

Playing Style

Dzumhur is known for his aggressive baseline play and powerful serve. He is also a skilled volleyer and has a good all-court game.

Dzumhur's playing style has drawn comparisons to Novak Djokovic, who is also from the Balkans. However, Dzumhur has his own unique style of play and is not afraid to take risks on the court.

Personal Life

Dzumhur is married to Ajla Tomljanovic, a professional tennis player from Australia. The couple reside in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Dzumhur is also a philanthropist and has donated money to several charities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is also a supporter of the Mirador Foundation, which provides educational opportunities for children in developing countries.
