Owners Bring a New Concept to the City's Dining Landscape

Boga Restaurante has officially opened its doors in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, Missouri. The restaurant, which specializes in modern and innovative Colombian cuisine is headed by husband-and-wife team Chef Juan Pablo Segura and Pastry Chef Mariana Echeverri Segura. The couple spent years honing their craft in some of the world's top restaurants before returning to their native country to open Boga.

Boga Restaurante's menu features a variety of traditional Colombian dishes with a modern twist, such as bandeja Paisa, a traditional Colombian plate with rice, beans, ground beef, chorizo, pork belly, fried egg, avocado, and arepa; and ceviche, a seafood dish made with fresh fish, shrimp, and octopus.

The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as the arepa de choclo, a cornmeal cake with cheese and avocado; and the ensalada de quinoa, a quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and a citrus vinaigrette.

Boga Restaurante's bar program includes a wide selection of Colombian wines, beers, and cocktails. The restaurant also offers a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, such as fresh juices and house-made sodas.
